Welcome to Spring Quarter!
This article highlights the start of spring quarter at Makers@UW, including upcoming events, ways to get involved, and what to expect from the Makers spaces this month.

Welcome to Spring!
Spring quarter is here with a fresh start, new ideas, and the perfect environment to build something meaningful. At Makers, this season is all about creativity, collaboration, and turning ideas into reality. Whether you’re exploring for the first time or ready to dive deeper, this is the right place for you.
Our first weekly meeting wrapped up with a brief outline of the spring quarter, goals moving ahead, and events. From conversations about ongoing projects to new ideas being shared, the room was full of energy. If you joined us, we hope you got a sense of the community and better understanding of the kind of work we do in makers.
Thinking About Joining?
If you attended and are considering joining, we’d love to have you. The first hour of our weekly meetings will continue to be open to all current UW students, so you’re always welcome to come back, explore more, and get comfortable.
When you feel ready, stay after a meeting and talk to someone on our executive team or you can email them, we’ll walk you through the onboarding and interview process.
What We Value
Makers is built on people who are willing to show up, learn, and create. We’re not looking for perfection we’re looking for:
- Dedication and consistency
- Curiosity and initiative
- A genuine interest in building and collaborating
If that sounds like you, you’ll find your place here.
